ANSON SNG CFA, CPA (AUST.)
Anson has over 2 decades of experience in the investment industry, with background across discretionary portfolio management (DPM), fund management, hedge fund management and private equity investments.
Prior to Raintree, he was head of the renowned Discretionary Portfolio Management team in Bank of Singapore, where he managed a team of 9 portfolio managers across equities, fixed income and mutual fund expertise. During his 11 years with the Bank, he played an instrumental role in spurring the development of DPM, where AUM grew by more than 25 times in excess of USD8 billion before his departure in July 2019, ranking it amongst the largest Asia-booked DPM players in the private banking industry.
During this time, Anson was also the champion and Lead Fund Manager of the multi-assets, covered-call enabled Lion Global Investor-Bank of Singapore Asia Income Fund, with AUM of peak assets in excess of USD700 million prior to his departure.
As a voting member of the BOS Investment Committee, Anson also actively contributed towards asset allocation recommendations across the Bank and the OCBC Group. His other responsibilities include providing guidance to the Head of Middle Office on handling and managing of operations, compliance and risk related matters, leading DPM related innovation projects as well as licence applications across different jurisdictions.
Prior to Bank of Singapore, Anson played various roles in the investment industry, including Asia regional investment research, hedge fund management and private equity investment.
Anson holds a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy with Distinction from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University in Australia. He is a Certified Practising Accountant of CPA Australia and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.
Anson currently also sits in the Investment Committee of the National Heritage Board (NHB), providing strategic investment advice to the board. NHB is a Singapore government statutory board, which undertakes the roles of safeguarding and promoting the heritage of Singapore’s diverse communities.
LEE HSIAO YEN
Spending more than fifteen years in the financial sector, Hsiao Yen brings along with her a wide breadth of experience in Client Relations, Business Management and Operations.
Prior to Raintree, she spent eight years with Bank of Singapore, playing an exceptionally instrumental role in the development and growth of Advisory Portfolio Management (APM). Being the key representative of the APM team, she spearheaded the middle office function and maintained oversight of the end-to-end business operation and internal governance for the team. Her portfolio expanded subsequently to include equity sales, advisory and execution and other investment products within the COO Business management and operation division. Hsiao Yen was awarded the CEO recognition awards for “Outstanding Performance” for two consecutive years, as well as “Best Support”.
Hsiao Yen started her career as a medical underwriter with insurance giant AIA, which sets her foundation in compliance and risk management. During her early years in the Private banking space, she was extensively involved with UHNW client’s succession planning and wealth management, where she was cherished by clients for her genuine passion, high integrity and strong ability to connect with people.
She holds a Bachelor in Banking and Finance (Hons) and a Diploma in Economics with University of London (SIM).
ERIC YEE
With over 2 decades in the finance industry across global financial institutions, Eric brings his deep experience in compliance and risk management to Raintree.
Previously, Eric was the Global Head of Compliance Surveillance at Bank of Singapore overseeing the compliance surveillance function within Singapore and across geographies including Hong Kong, Manila and Dubai. His responsibilities include monitoring, promoting and influencing a strong compliance culture, and advising the Bank in the management of challenging and highly regulated environments. Prior to this, Eric held various compliance and risk roles in Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered and DBS. Eric started his career as a Product Controller spanning multiple jurisdictions in Morgan Stanley New York, before moving to Hong Kong and returning to Singapore.
With his extensive experience from industry and staying abreast with the evolving regulatory landscape, Eric is also part of the adjunct faculty for Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB) and lectures on Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance.
He is a Certified Career Counselor and Coach and equips graduates to be career-ready as a Senior Career Advisor at Singapore Management University (SMU). He is also an active volunteer in an Institution of a Public Character for decades.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northeastern University, USA.
JOSEPH OH CFA, CAIA
Joseph has over fifteen years of financial sector experience, spread across discretionary portfolio management (DPM), fund management, and risk management.
Before Raintree, he spent more than five years in Bank of Singapore as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the DPM team, where he oversaw over 100 discretionary accounts with total AUM of USD900 million. Concurrently, he was also the Fund Manager for BOS International’s Defensive Mixed Asset Fund, Emerging Market Investment Grade Bond Fund and Developed Market Investment Grade Bond Fund, with AUM circa USD145 million, USD40 million and USD50 million respectively.
During this period within DPM, he was also responsible for overseeing the risk monitoring process and a key member of internal audit reviews. Beyond his assigned tasks, Joseph took the initiative to work with Middle Office to enhance DPM’s operations via the use of technology.
Joseph started his career with the UOB group, first with UOB Bank as a Credit Risk Officer and thereafter with UOB Asset Management. During his tenure, Joseph grew his Fixed Income experience as a Credit Analyst and co-managed a US$1 billion global bond fund with a focus in Asia Pacific credits.
Joseph holds a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham and both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Portfolio Management from the National University of Singapore. Besides English and Mandarin, he speaks fluent VBA, Python and SQL. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) qualifications.
ANTHONY CHIN
Anthony has spent over eighteen years in the banking industry, spanning from investment banking in both corporate finance and sales and trading arenas, to investment counselling where he provides investment advisory services across asset classes to Private Banking clients.
Prior to Raintree, Anthony was an Investment Consultant at UBS AG responsible for providing investment advisory services for the Ultra High Net Worth clients in Asia Pacific. Highly trusted by clients, he was responsible for investment portfolios in excess of USD1.2 billion, and specialised in constructing, analysing, and rebalancing portfolios to align to clients’ risk-reward objectives and investment life cycle needs.
Before UBS, he spent 7 years in Bank of Singapore (BOS) where he led a team of Investment Counsellors for the Singapore market. Anthony and team were the cornerstone of many successful investment launches, including OCBC’s inaugural private equity offering. During his stint at BOS, Anthony was selected to be in the Pegasus Circle (the bank’s top performers’ program) for 2 consecutive years.
Kicking off his banking career, Anthony was a graduate of both Citi Private Bank’s and DBS’ management associate program. He was awarded the Best Performer in both programs and was subsequently appointed team specialist and main point of reference for discretionary offerings for the Philippines offshore team in Citi Private Bank.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (First Class Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
LIM MING FANG CFA
Ming Fang has over twenty-five years of experience in the fund management industry, with background across fixed income portfolio management, middle office, and performance & risk management.
Before joining Raintree Asset Management, she spent 20 years in Bank of Singapore’s Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) team. During this period, the trust and confidence she built with both clients and colleagues contributed immensely towards the exponential growth in DPM’s assets under management (AUM).
As a Senior Portfolio Manager and having led the Bank’s flagship fixed income mandates, she has deep proven experience in navigating through global emerging bond market volatility. At the peak, she was directly managing over US$1.5 billion of fixed income portfolios across various mandates for High Net Worth clients. Concurrently, Ming Fang was also managing the BOS International High Yield Bond Fund, with over US$240 million of assets.
Ming Fang was instrumental in pioneering initiatives in the push for greater efficiency in Bank of Singapore DPM team, including driving the development, migration, and implementation of a portfolio management system, as well as conceptualisation and launch of the highly successful BOS International Funds. Ming Fang also represented DPM at the bank wide level in areas of transformational projects to help improve systems and processes.
Prior to Bank of Singapore, she was at Merrill Lynch Asset Management and DBS Asset Management where she started her career in fund management.
Ming Fang is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder since 2007 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from University of London.
NATALIE LOH ACA
Natalie has over seven years of experience in the asset management industry. She facilitates and implements both the global equities and Asian dividend equities investment thesis at Raintree across all single asset and multi asset allocation mandates. Her role includes portfolio management, portfolio monitoring, idea generation and conducting research.
Prior to joining Raintree, Natalie was a manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP auditing publicly listed firms in London and Singapore. Her main focus was in global group audits of independent asset managers in public equity, mezzanine finance and private equity. With her experience, she brings best practices from the industry in helping to administer investment operations and risk management analytics across all assets under management at the firm.
Natalie holds a BA in Economics with First Class Honours from the University of Cambridge and is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
SENG SIEU HUEY
Sieu Huey has over 2 decades of experience in the financial sector covering institutional, retail and subsequently in wealth management. She is experienced in growing the client base, servicing both institutional and high net-worth clients dealing in equities, fixed income, structured products and share placements/book building for IPO launches.
Prior to Raintree, Sieu Huey was the Vice President of Retail & Corporate Clients at OCBC Securities Private Limited for more than 20 years before she was transferred to Bank of Singapore, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of the OCBC Bank.
During this time, she worked closely with the Product Desk and OCBC Research team to generate equity trading ideas and provide market colours to clients. She was the main coordinator with the Marketing Department in organising presentation and investment seminars for clients. Sieu Huey was also involved in managing the Institution’s algorithmic and discretionary trade execution on global equity markets through Bloomberg, GL and proprietary trading systems. She has excellent working relationships with counterparties and back-room operations on account related, post trade settlement issues.
Sieu Huey was the top student for the Business Finance professional specialisation in the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University and she holds a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration with Distinction.
SHARON YONG
With more than 20 years in the financial industry across several renowned banks, Sharon brings her experience in Business Management to ensure efficient and effective operations at Raintree.
Sharon embarked on her banking career in Investment Banking Operations with Citibank and subsequently at Credit Suisse covering institutional clients, before specialising in Private Banking clients in the past 15 years at BNP Paribas, Coutts & Co and Bank of Singapore.
Sharon works closely with Senior Relationship Managers in providing excellent client service support to High-Net-Worth individuals. She brings with her expertise with clients across Southeast Asia, in particular Indonesia, who entrust her in the smooth handling of their wealth management from onboarding, compliance to day-to-day administration.
Her breadth of experience across the industry has honed her skills in client relations and supporting clients in their wealth management, with the help of her well-versed insights to the various functions of Compliance and Operations.
She holds a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Western Australia.
ELOISE CHUA
Eloise has more than 10 years of experience in various accounting and finance positions across multiple industries. With her extensive experience in operations and accounting background, she provides key business support to management to facilitate dynamic decision making.
Prior to joining Raintree, Eloise spent more than four years in Nike, a market-leading US FMCG multinational corporation. During this time, she was instrumental in ensuring detailed reporting, analysis, and reconciliation across the company’s ASEAN business.
Eloise started her career with a local Singapore conglomerate where she sharpened her foundation in preparing comprehensive financial analysis and corporate reports before moving to Watsons, a HK FMCG beauty and health corporation and managing the daily accounting operations of more than one hundred establishments.
Eloise holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
LOYCE CHAN
Loyce has over 16 years of experience in the wealth management industry, with a passion in serving high net worth clients across Asia. She believes in understanding her clients’ goals and investment objectives in order to curate a portfolio for them. Besides investment advisory, she possesses the know-how and the network in helping clients to structure, preserve and transfer their wealth inter-generationally.
Prior to Raintree, she was a Director in the Singapore-Malaysia team where she managed assets under management in excess of USD450mio for her clients during her 11-year tenure. Over this period, Loyce was awarded the Rookie Award in 2013 and Top Relationship Manager Award in 2015. She completed an Advanced Diploma in Wealth Management certified by NTU and Wealth Management Institute (WMI) in 2017. She has won an accolade for landing the largest direct investment deal in 2019.
Prior to Bank of Singapore, Loyce was a Senior Investment Consultant at Merrill Lynch for over 5 years where she provided investment advisory services for high net worth clients in South East Asia. Before Merrill Lynch, Loyce started her career as an analyst at Bloomberg L.P where she thrived in a fast-paced environment in guiding its clients on the functionality of Bloomberg software.
Loyce holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. Her motto is to “learn, earn and return” and she volunteers at various non-profit institutions.
FAYE LEE
Faye is a veteran in Wealth Management, having more than 2 decades of experience in managing the wealth of Ultra High Net Worth families. Over the last 20 years, she has worked in Financial institutions in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore, giving her a deep understanding of the needs of the Greater China investors as well as the financial markets in all 3 major financial centres. She is instrumental in helping many prominent families in Asia to establish and grow their family offices and company footprint in Singapore.
Before joining Raintree, Faye was a Managing Director in Deutsche Bank AG Singapore managing a team of Relationship Managers, both within South East Asia and Greater China. Prior to this, she had spent 13 years in Bank of Singapore (both Hong Kong & Singapore) where she was also involved in annual management committee strategic planning and contributing actively to the bank’s growth strategies. Faye was awarded the prestigious OCBC Chairman’s Award in 2014 and BOS Pegasus Circle in 2019. She was also amongst the first batch of Client Advisors to complete the Advanced Diploma in Wealth Management certified by NTU and WMI in 2016.
Besides DB and BOS, Faye has also accumulated her banking experience at HSBC Shanghai, Citibank Singapore, Charles Schwab Hong Kong.
Faye holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Marketing) from University of Melbourne, Australia. Outside of her professional capacity, Faye also actively contributes back to the society. She is an active volunteer at the People’s Association, SG Cares, Yong-en Care Centre and other non-profit organizations.
JOYCE LIN
Joyce has over 6 years of client servicing experience assisting clients across many aspects of their wealth management needs. In addition to daily portfolio management, her know-how extends to client onboarding with institutions, credit applications pertaining to assets including local and foreign properties, universal life polices and external third-party investments.
Prior to Raintree, she was as an Assistant Relationship Manager at Bank of Singapore serving ultra-high net worth individuals from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus in Greater China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore region. She has been highly commended by her clients for her personalised, accurate and responsive attention.
Joyce embarked on her career at Bank of Singapore in a rotational role across various departments within the bank. Interacting with multiple stakeholders and counterparties has enabled her to better understand processes and operations to better serve her clients in their wealth management journey.
Joyce holds a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) from Nanyang Technological University, majoring in Economics.
